Welcome!
The Education on Queer Issues Project, under the AMS Social Issues Commission of
Queen's University, is dedicated to lobbying for Lesbian, Gay,
Bisexual and Transidentified rights as well as working to inform and educate the Queen's and Kingston communities on queer issues.
Throughout the academic year, EQuIP organizes social and political events, with the goal of raising awareness of queer issues as well as providing a friendly environment for queer and queer-positive students, faculty, staff and alumni to gather and socialize. We
have an office in the Grey house in which you will find an
extensive queer-themed library. We hold regular office hours,
staffed by EQuIP volunteers, as well as host weekly meetings (Tuesdays, 5:30 pm).
This website is meant to be a community for all queer and
queer-positive members of the Queen's and Kingston communities.
As such, if there is anything you would like to see on the site, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are always looking for ways to improve!
Meetings:
EQuIP holds weekly meetings on Tuesday, 5:30 pm in the Grey House. We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about EQuIP
and the Queen's/Kingston queer community to come see what we are all about!
