The Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Issues Commision (LGBIC) was formed in 1990 as part of the AMS Education Commission (now called the Social Issues Commission). LGBIC was renamed The Education on Queer Issues Project (EQuIP) in 1998.

The group was responsible for organizing the very first Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Awareness/Pride Week on campus, and throughout its history has brought a wide variety of queer-themed speakers and events to the Queen's campus and the Kingston community.

EQuIP continues to organize events for the Queen's and Kingston communities - please see our Event's Page for a list of upcoming or annual EQuIP events.

EQuIP also maintains an extensive lending library of queer-themed books, movies, and magazines. Feel free to drop by during our office hours and have a look.

The EQuIP office/library is located on the 2nd floor of the Grey House (look for our rainbow flag in the window!).

Office Hours:
The office is staffed by EQuIP volunteers, 10:30 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. We encourage you to drop by, whether you want someone to talk to, or just want to spend some time in a welcoming and accepting environment.

Library:
The EQuIP office is located on the second floor of the Grey House (51 Bader Lane, next to Victoria Hall) in the first office on the left after walking up the stairs. The office houses a large queer-oriented lending library of books, video, magazines, as well as a host of other resources.
